There was an article recently published by the Acta Paediatrica, a peer-reviewed medical journal in the field of pediatrics. The aim of the article was to understand more about pediatric dog bites in Allegheny County, as there are frequent dog bite victims at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
The information for the journal was taken from the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD). Each county in PA has their own data. Some counties have their own Health Departments too and are not required to pass on dog bite statistics at the state level. As far as we can tell, this journal has the most comprehensive data for child dog bites in Pennsylvania at the county level.
